The world of Medieval Re-enactment is filled with creative opportunities and amazing activities but can also prove overwhelming when it comes down to the details. That’s where we come in.

When it comes to historical personas and medieval combat in either The Society of Creative Anachronism, Battle of the Nations, or the ACLW, there are three main tenants that form the foundation of your re-enactment:

  1. Historical Accuracy in both soft and armored kits
  2. Training-both in prowess and physical fitness
  3. Knowledge-having an understanding of the time period you wish to re-enact.

So whether you’re new to the hobby or a seasoned veteran, if you are interested in being a better medieval athlete, learning more about the Middle Ages, and finding inspiration for as well as increasing the historical accuracy of your kit, I invite you to join me in our exploration at Hart’s Histories.

Throughout these pages, we will explore historical sources, the best places to get materials and gear for our hobby, workouts for the armored combatant, and the medieval mindset of our predecessors.
